In celebration of the Danube Limes’ official inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage list, this site-specific installation reinterprets ancient history through the modern lens of Tape Art. Using the transparency of the glass wall as a canvas, the artwork creates a vibrant dialogue between the past and the present.
The composition captures the essence of the Danube region, featuring the iconic silhouette of the Stone Bridge and the Cathedral rising above the river. Layers of specialized adhesive film are applied to create a geometric, abstract landscape. The bold bright orange of the bridge contrasts with the deep, shifting blues of the water, symbolizing the enduring strength of the Limes borders against the fluid, ever-changing nature of the river. By utilizing the glass surface, the installation plays with natural light, allowing the colors to glow and interact with the surrounding space, creating an immersive visual experience.
