Category Definition:

The Mactac Creative Awards will see two specific categories, each category is completely independent of each other. During the submission of the project, the applicator will have to make a selection for what category the project will be eligible for.

The Categories are defined as follows:

  • Architectural Projects

The Architectural category includes projects that utilize Mactac products for architectural applications, transforming spaces through innovative design and functionality.

Any project featuring Mactac materials applied to floors, windows, walls, facades, ceilings etc. falls under this category. Whether it’s enhancing an interior with decorative wall graphics, revitalizing glass surfaces with window films, or giving a building’s exterior a fresh new look, these applications demonstrate the power of creative surface transformation.

  • Automotive Projects

The Automotive category includes projects that use Mactac materials for vehicle-related applications, enhancing aesthetics, protection, or branding.

This category covers full or partial vehicle wraps, fleet graphics, decals, paint protection films, interior customization, etc.

Winner Selection:

There will be six (6) quarterly winners and two (2) yearly winners. Winners will be selected by a panel of qualified predefined Judges. The Judges include Barbara Rompato, Rick Snabel, Irene Stolk and Robert König. Each category follows the same winner selection criteria.

The Judges will determine all winners using the following criteria:

Creativity of the Project (Uniqueness of the design and Material usage) (40%)
Public Vote (30%)
Visual Transformation (difference between the before and after pictures submitted) (20%)
Overall public look and appeal (10%)

In the event of a tie, the tied Entry with the highest overall score in the Creativity of the Project criteria will be deemed the winner. If there is still a tie after the first tie-breaker, the tied Entry with the highest overall score in the Public vote will be deemed the winner. If there is still a tie after both tie-breakers, Sponsor will select new judges to judge the tied Entries in the above criteria, as needed until the tie is broken.
